Customs

An Electronic Export Information form or EEI is a Customs form required If the value of any item in your Shipping package is over $2,500 USD. If the value of the shipment’s contents exceeds $2,500 USD, we can only ship DHL or FedEx due to import and export regulations.

If you are used to the term SED form, the Shipper’s Export Declaration is the former name of what is now an EEI form.

We charge a $40 USD flat fee if you’d like us to prepare your EEI form.

The option you declare is ultimately up to you. If you received the item as a gift or are sending the item to a recipient as a gift, you would mark “gift” on the customs declaration. In all other cases, you would select “merchandise.” Enjoy your International Courier Services From India.

If you received an item for free, you must still declare a value for the item. The minimum amount required for the declaring an item is $1 USD. If you received the item as a gift, you would declare the retail value.

Australia GST

Beginning July 1, 2018 Australia will charge consumers and businesses a Goods and Services Tax (GST) on all items imported into Australia.

A 10 percent fee will be paid to the Australian government on the value of items being imported. An additional 1/11th fee will apply to services, insurance, and shipping costs.

Unless you have an ABN number on file with myshopnship, each item you ship along with the postage and processing fees will be assessed a 10% GST at the time of shipping. This will be remitted to the Australian government on your behalf. If you have an ABN on file with MyShopnShip, you will not have to pay the taxes at mailout but can submit the fees to the Australian Government with your regular quarterly tax payment.

Beginning July 1, 2018 the GST applies to all items imported into Australia, including items valued less than AUD $1,000

Log into your account, click on account settings, click on address book, select each address to edit, enter the ABN in the tax ID space. You must have the ABN listed for each address you ship to.
